Spam Call Blocking Text Walkthrough Android

This page has the text instructions w/ screenshots to walk you through the setup process for Lifeguard's Spam Call Blocking on an Android device

There are two parts you need to setup, the first part is in the general settings of your Android phone, the second part are the Phone Settings of your phone app.

General Phone Settings

1. Open up the Settings app on your phone (no picture)

2. Select the row labeled "Apps"

3. Click on "Default apps"

4. Click on "Caller ID & Spam app"

5. Select Lifeguard from the list on this page

Phone Settings

1. Open the settings app on your Android Phone (on most phones you can open the phone app and tap the three dots αŽ’ or three lines 𑁔 )

2. You should see options for Caller ID & Spam, Scam Detection, Call Screen, & Blocked numbers - click into each one and follow the instructions below to set them correctly

3. Toggle Caller ID & spam "ON"

4. Toggle Scam Detection "ON"

5. If you have "Call Screen" option, toggle this "OFF" (not all Android phones will have this option)

6. Toggle the option to Block Unknown numbers "ON"

7. Scroll down and find the "Voicemail" option. Toggle the Visual Voicemail option "OFF"
